Dear Parents,

 We're just about ready to start a new school year.  I am excited about meeting you and your children.  In preparation for the year, I am requesting that each parent of a first grade child provide the following school supplies: 

For Academics

1 Backpack to Transport School Materials

3 "Wide Ruled" Notebooks -- (single subject)

1 x 1 inch 3 Ring Binder (white)

1 Package of Tab Dividers (5 tabs) 

1 Tablet of Paper -- Manuscript for spelling words 

2 Purple Folders with Side Pockets (for homework)

2 boxes of #2 pencils - (yellow only, no design)

1 Pack of Flat Erasers 

1 small pack of 4 fine tip, low odor, Dry Erase Markers

1 water bottle, labeled with your child's first and last names (no glass, please!).  The bottle should be brought from home to school everyday, filled with with drinking water. 

1 large box of healthy snack (crackers, pretzels, gold fish, etc.)  -- This box may be shared with the whole group. 

Also, we will have a snack break everyday.  Please ehsure your child has a healthy snack packed from home EVERY SCHOOL DAY.  No soda or candy please! 

Art Supplies

1 Old T-Shirt

1 box 64 Crayola crayons

2 Crayola Washable Tempera Paints (any color)

1 Washable Watercolors with Brush

1 Box of Markers (thick or thin)

5 Glue Sticks with push-up cylindar 

1 pair child sized Scissors

1 package of Construction Paper

1 box Ziploc bags (girls bring quart size / boys bring gallon size)

 Classroom supplies 

 2 Hand Sanitizers 

 2 Containers of Clorox Wipes

2 Boxes of Bandages

2 Boxes of Tissues

1 Roll of Scotch Tape

1 Backpack

2 inch Binder with "D" Ring, if feasible

1 Ruler

3 Boxes of #2 Pencils or Mechanical Pencils

1 Old, Large T-Shirt for Art Class

1 Box of Crayola Crayons

1 Box of Colored Pencils

2 Glue Sticks (white, push up)

1 Pair of Child Size Scissors

1 Pack of Non-Toxic Markers

2 Packs of Wide Ruled Paper

1 Small 4 Pack of Fine Tip Low Odor Dry Erase Markers

1 Labeled Water Bottle (filled with drinking water EVERY SCHOOL DAY)-- labeled w/ First and Last Names for Health purposes

1 Healthy Snack (Children will need a HEALTHY SNACK EVERY SCHOOL DAY -- NO SODA OR CANDY PLEASE.)

These supplies will be used frequently.  Be sure to check you child's backpack regularly for important notes from the school.

Supply of Pencils (2 needed daily)

1 Manual Pencil Sharpener - a good one

2 Composition Notebooks

1 One-Inch Three-Ring Binder

3 Zippered Pouches or Plastic Pencil Cases for Pencils, Markers and Colored Pencils

1 Ruler with Inches and Centimeters

2 Packages of Loose-Leaf Paper

2 Folders with Pockets (3-hole punched -- not red or blue)

1 Red Plastic Folder with Pockets

1 Blue Plastic Folder with Pockets

1 Water Bottle -- filled with drinking water every school day*

1 Box of Tissue (for the classroom)

1 Small 4 Pack of Fine Tip, Low Odor, Dry Erase Markers

1 Box of 64 Crayons

1 Box of Colored Pencils

1 Scissors 

1 Glue Stick (not liquid glue)

2 Boxes of Markers ( 1 thin and 1 thick)

Please have all of your child's supplies labeled with their name on it. Your child will need these supplies on the first day of school. 

If you would like to donate other items some suggestions are hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes and extra pencils. 

*We do not have a water fountain inside our classroom. It is important that your child has a water bottle. Please no soda or juice.
